Artist:

Marianna Vakulenko was born in 1987 in Yasinovataya, Donetsk region, Ukraine.
In 2007, graduated from the Donetsk Art School with a degree in Graphic Design
and worked as an illustrator in the Editorial Office in Donetsk. In 2014, when military
operation in eastern Ukraine started, she moved to Odessa where she met local artists
and started working in different genres and types of contemporary art. That became a
turning point when Art began taking first place in her life. Central themes of her works are
human relations, states of mind and self-knowledge. In 2017, she became a member of a
non-profit organization of artists and participated in several exhibitions, including in
Venice, in parallel with the fifty-seventh Venice Biennale. Now the artist lives and works in
the city of Kiev, Ukraine.
